For the Tour Hazer II, the manufacturer approves only Smoke Factory Tour Hazer Fluid; other fluids may clog the heating element and void the manufacturer's warranty. We describe how to select the right fluid for the machine on the page hazer fluid.
Hazer rental price for 1–4 days (24h)
The first day (24h) is charged at the full rate, each subsequent day (24h) is 50%. Net amounts for the hazer only, without fluid:

Smoke Factory Tour Hazer II — manufacturer specifications
Tour Hazer II is a water-based stage hazer: the fluid evaporates on a heating element and creates a delicate stage haze. Haze output and fan speed are adjustable independently, including via DMX.

Hazer for concerts, stage, and events with lighting
Concert and stage performance
Haze makes the beams of moving heads visible above the stage. We recommend controlling the hazer from the lighting console via DMX: you then have a fixed setting and can quickly change or switch it off. The timer built into the unit is a fallback.
Event with a lighting plan

Event with a DJ kit

In practice, the hazer makes beams reflected off a mirror ball visible in the air. Low fog for the first dance requires a different unit: low fog (heavy smoke) for a wedding.
Day plan with a hazer
- Before the event. Confirm haze approval with the venue. Decisions about smoke detectors lie with the venue administrator and the fire safety system service; questions for the venue and the procedure are covered on the page smoke machine rental in Warsaw.
- Setup. The hazer stands on a stable, non-flammable base in a dry location, with clearances as specified in the manufacturer's table; the air inlet is free of haze. Do not point a spotlight directly at the unit.
- Switching on. The hazer is ready after a short warm-up; switch on the Spaceball II and Captain D. smoke machines earlier, as they take longer to heat up.
- Test run. Start at a low level and adjust it with the lighting switched on.
- During the event. Do not leave the unit running unattended. Visibility should not drop below 2 m, and emergency exits and evacuation signage must remain visible.
- After the event. Switch off the hazer and do not disconnect the power until the cooling cycle is complete.

What is the difference between a hazer and a smoke machine?
A hazer produces a fine haze in which light beams are visible, while a smoke machine produces short bursts of smoke. Tour Hazer II is a water-based hazer, not oil-based: the fluid evaporates on a heating element, and you set the haze output and fan speed separately. According to the manufacturer, you can adjust the effect from very delicate, barely visible haze to output close to fog. The Smoke Factory smoke machines in our offer, Spaceball II and Captain D., produce continuous smoke only at a low setting: below 45% and below 50%. In practice, a hazer is chosen for background and a smoke machine for accents.
How many hours does the hazer run on one canister of fluid?
According to the manufacturer, one 5 l canister lasts approximately 83 hours of operation at 40% setting. At higher settings, the fluid is consumed faster, so we match the number of canisters to the event plan in the quote.
Is a DMX console needed for the hazer?
No. Tour Hazer II can operate standalone: it has a built-in timer that sets the intervals and haze output time, and a 1–99% adjustment in 1% steps. If you have a DMX console, use two channels: the first controls the fluid pump (haze output), the second the fan; the DMX signal takes priority over all other control methods. The DMX connectors on the unit are 5-pin, so an adapter is needed for a console with a 3-pin output; the kit composition is confirmed in the quote.
Where should the hazer be positioned relative to the stage?
The outlet must be at least 1.5 m from people and heat-sensitive items — this is a manufacturer requirement. In practice, the hazer is positioned to the side or rear of the stage so that haze hits the light rather than the audience, and output is started at a low level, adjusted during rehearsal.
Can I use my own fluid in the hazer?
Your own fluid — only the original fluid from the device's manufacturer; we confirm upon order. For the Tour Hazer II, the manufacturer approves only Smoke Factory Tour Hazer Fluid; in that case you rent the hazer alone, without fluid. Do not use smoke machine fluid in the hazer.
Is the Fan-200 fan needed with the hazer?
Not always. The Tour Hazer II has its own fan, controlled separately. We rent the Stairville Fan-200 DMX as an add-on (PLN 100 net per day (24h)) when you want to move and distribute haze throughout the venue. The fan is noisy (approximately 70 dB at 1 m according to the manufacturer), so do not place it near microphones. It is for indoor use only.
How many hazers do you have, and can I rent two?
We have two Tour Hazer II units. The number of units depends on the shape of the venue, ventilation, and the desired effect. Describe the stage or venue in your enquiry — we will determine whether one hazer is sufficient or two would be better.
Can the hazer be used outdoors?
The manufacturer requires a dry operating environment: humidity below 80% and ambient temperature 5–45 °C. Do not place the hazer in rain or in locations exposed to moisture. In open spaces, wind can quickly disperse the haze. If the stage is under a canopy, describe the conditions in your enquiry.
How long does the hazer take to warm up?
Warm-up takes approx. 60 seconds from power-on. After switching off, the unit cools down for approx. 60 seconds — do not disconnect power before this period ends. Heated smoke machines, Spaceball II and Captain D., take approx. 7 minutes to warm up, so switch them on well in advance.
